Hey Nuel. Thanks for your comment/question. There is not much context given for this disagreement except for Mark "abandoning" them in some situation. I would assume this was a serious breech of trust for which Mark has obviously repented of at this point, but a hurt from which Paul hasn't completely been healed from. As I mentioned at the end, there is indication of the relationship eventually being restored between the two, as Mark was one of the few people Paul asks to be brought to while imprisoned near the end of his life (2 Tim 4:11). In fact by this point, Paul says that mark is "very useful" to him and his ministry. So there's obviously been some healing and restoration by that point.

I had the same question about this "sharp disagreement", and find it quite the contrast to earlier parts in Acts where saints and those who believed lived harmoniously, sharing each other's possessions. Do you happen to know the context behind their (Paul, Barnabas and Mark) relationship that alludes to mistrust and/or unforgiving from Paul to Mark? Without knowing the context, I am finding this somewhat ironic because Paul was once mistrusted by Jesus' disciples when he converted to Christ-follower. What comes around goes around? :p
